What we are looking for
We are looking for a proactive and organized Laboratory Technician to support our production and operations activities. In this versatile role, you will divide your time between production support, purchasing and equipment coordination. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple departments (operations, sales and R&D) to help ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Who we are
Based in Nijmegen, NimaGen develops DNA sequencing technologies and laboratory solutions for research, clinical, and forensic laboratories worldwide. We specialize in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and have a team of about 20 people with a variety of backgrounds in the lab and DNA sequencing field.
Key responsibilities
- Support laboratory and production activities, including cleanroom operations.
- Assist with quality control activities where needed.
- Manage purchasing processes, including inventory monitoring, supplier communication, and purchase order administration.
- Coordinate laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and servicing.
- Support compliance activities through accurate record keeping and documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, and external suppliers to support operational excellence.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Molecular Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- A structured and detail-oriented way of working.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Good English communication skills both verbal and writing.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment and/or with aseptic or sterile techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing processes is a plus.
What we offer
- A part-time position of 24–32 hours per week,
· Salary range: 3000-3600 gross per month based on 40h/week.
