As an EHS (Environment Health & Safety) Coordinator, you are responsible for executing the global Colgate-Palmolive EHS strategy at the Etten-Leur plant. In doing so, you ensure that we always align perfectly with both Dutch legislation and regulations and the Colgate/Hill’s standards.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Manufacturing, meaning your expertise and advice will have a direct impact.
With your expertise and leadership, you will elevate EHS performance to the highest level. Based on KPI’s and audits, you will continuously identify opportunities for improvement, reduce waste streams, and lead the implementation and follow-up of corrective action plans. In addition, you will play a leading role in training operators, creating training materials, initiating sustainability initiatives at the plant, and applying for environmental permits.
Essential Job Functions:
Drive the development of an annual EHS management action plan for the facility to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and Colgate Standards
Provide EHS technical expertise and leadership to help the subsidiary deliver excellence in execution
Set local goals (KPI’S), track trends and analyze the data to prioritize actions
Develop and/or deliver Corporate and local EHS training programs
Lead or participate in Corporate EHS audits at European facilities
Participate in optimizing and standardizing factory designs for improved EHS performance
Capture key learnings, best practices, potential issues / trends and opportunities for improvement and communicate locally on a regular basis
Participate in the investigation of all incidents, accidents and near misses
Ensure that all regulatory permits are maintained current and that the facility remains in compliance
Maintain a high profile EHS presence on the shop floor and ensure that EHS is given the necessary attention
What do you bring?
Bachelor or Master in Engineering, Technical or EHS field
A minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS, Supply Chain, S&T or related technical experience
Dutch and English language profiency
Personal Visible Leadership with regards to EHS
