Restaurant Supervisor (SVH) / Supervisor Trainee

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in Amsterdam.

What you'll do
- Lead and motivate the Front of House team during service.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable guest experiences.
- Support the Restaurant Manager with the daily operation of the restaurant.
- Supervise opening and closing procedures.
- Coordinate the team during busy service periods.
- Train, coach and support new team members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
- Monitor service standards and encourage upselling.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organised and operating efficiently.
- Assist with cash handling and daily operational procedures.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or Front of House team member in a busy restaurant.
- Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude with the ambition to build a long-term career in hospitality.
- Strong organisational and leadership potential.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English (Dutch is an advantage).
- Must already have the legal right to work in the Netherlands (EU passport or a valid Dutch work permit).

Candidates who do not yet hold an SVH Sociale Hygiëne certificate are encouraged to apply.
If you consistently demonstrate professionalism, reliability, leadership potential and commitment, the company may sponsor your SVH Sociale Hygiëne training and examination.
