As a Financial Support Officer, you support the chairholder of a chair group within Wageningen University & Research. You play a key role in ensuring that administrative processes and activities run smoothly.
You act as a central point of contact within the team and between the chair group and the Finance & Control department. In this role, you work closely with the chairholder and are the first point of contact for a wide range of administrative questions.
A chair group typically consists of 30 to 40 colleagues working on fundamental research and academic education in the field of healthy nutrition and living environments.
In addition, you play an important role in preparing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets, annual plans, and personnel information. You monitor developments, maintain oversight and ensure accurate records.
You do this in collaboration with colleagues such as project controllers, project leaders, secretaries and other Financial Support Officers.

You have completed a bachelor’s degree (HBO level or equivalent) and bring several years of relevant work experience.

You are a confident discussion partner with an analytical mindset and the ability to form your own judgement.

You have an affinity with financial administration and sufficient financial insight to read, prepare and monitor simple budgets.

You communicate easily, know how to connect people and are able to persuade people when needed.

You enjoy variety, work carefully and accurately and are strong in planning and organization.

You are proactive, take initiative and think in solutions.

You have a good command of Dutch; knowledge of English is an advantage.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a gross salary of between €3.218,- and €4.298,- for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 8). Additionally, a contract for 0,8 FTE can be discussed. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
