About ITO Tours
ITO Tours is a specialist B2B travel company creating bespoke journeys for clients around the world — from tailor-made group and project travel for corporate clients to leisure group travel and B2B FIT bookings. We work closely with a global network of suppliers and preferred partners, and take pride in sharp deals, strong margins and client relationships that last. Ours is a fast-paced, commercially driven, international team where ownership, efficiency and genuine collaboration go hand in hand — and where English is our shared working language.
The Role
As a (Junior) Group & Project Travel Account Manager in this part-time support role, you keep our clients' bookings running smoothly — from confirmation through to completion. Your main focus is operational and administrative support: accurate handling of bookings, supplier coordination and client follow-up, so that the account managers on your team can keep their attention on new business. Alongside this, you'll get the chance to build your commercial and sales skills under the wing of an experienced colleague, making this an excellent entry point for someone earlier in their account management career.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Booking Support
- Manage bookings from confirmation through to completion, keeping every detail accurate and up to date.
- Monitor progress, payments and logistics for the projects you support.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm services, rates and availability.
- Resolve day-to-day issues and handle straightforward complaints, escalating where necessary.
Administration & Systems
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in NITROS.
- Manage pricing, supplier data and client information.
- Ensure complete and correct documentation at all times, so files are easy to hand over during absence or peak periods.
Client Contact & Service
- Handle client questions, changes and requests promptly and professionally.
- Keep clients informed proactively about the status of their booking.
- Support account managers in preparing quotations and travel proposals within margin guidelines.
Sales & Commercial Exposure — a learning opportunity
- Sales is not the core of this role, but you'll be introduced to it as part of your development: shadowing client calls, helping prepare proposals, and gradually taking on small commercial tasks under guidance.
- This is a natural stepping stone if you're a junior account manager looking to grow into a more commercial, client-facing role over time.
What We Are Looking For
Requirements
- Part-time availability (16 to 28 hours per week).
- Fluent in English, spoken and written — this is required.
- A second language (German, French or Italian) is a strong plus.
- MBO+/HBO level or equivalent working experience.
- An accurate, organised way of working, with a genuine interest in the travel industry — prior experience in travel, hospitality or a comparable service environment is a plus.
- Based within approx. 20 km of Leidschendam (e.g. The Hague, Rijswijk, Delft, Voorburg, Zoetermeer, Wassenaar, Leiden).
Competencies
- Precise and structured, with a strong eye for detail.
- Reliable and proactive — you follow through on what you pick up.
- Good communication skills, both with clients and with suppliers.
- Comfortable managing several bookings or projects at once.
- A team player who is open to learning and picking up new commercial skills over time.
What Makes This Role Different
- The emphasis here is on support and execution, not on carrying your own sales target — this is a role built around getting things right, not chasing numbers.
- You'll work closely with experienced account managers, giving you a front-row seat to how client relationships and deals are built.
- There's genuine room to grow: as you gain confidence, you can take on more commercial responsibility at your own pace.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary based on experience — quoted on a full-time basis and pro-rated to your part-time working week.
- A dynamic, international working environment.
- Hands-on mentoring from experienced account managers, with room to grow into a more commercial role.
- Genuine exposure to the travel industry and its supplier network.
