About the role
For the Industrialisation & Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) department, we are looking for a Work Preparer (m/w/d).
In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that production and integration activities are properly prepared, planned, and executed efficiently. You play a key role in coordinating materials, resources, documentation, and work instructions to ensure smooth project execution according to schedule.
You will also contribute to process improvements and support digitalisation and optimisation initiatives within the department.
You report hierarchically to the Head of AIT or Head of Production and work closely with AIT Managers and Team Leaders on an operational level.
Your responsibilities
As a Work Preparer, you will:

Create and maintain integrated production and project planning

Monitor sequencing, lead times, resource allocation, and facility usage

Adjust planning based on changes and align impacts with stakeholders

Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in operational processes

Support continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives

Ensure availability of required materials, tools, equipment, and resources
-
Process inventory movements in SAP/MRP systems
-
Raise purchase requests based on operational needs

Monitor and maintain KPI reporting
-
Support second-line troubleshooting for machines and tools when required
-
Review technical drawings and engineering documentation
-
Prepare work instructions and procedures for assembly and testing activities

Compile complete work packages and manage project completion documentation

Prepare logistics and shipping documentation where needed
Qualifications
Your profile
You are structured, technically minded, and able to maintain oversight in a fast-paced production environment. You enjoy coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence on the shop floor.
You bring:

HBO+ working and thinking level

Experience in work preparation, production planning, manufacturing engineering, or similar technical roles

Strong planning and organisational skills

Analytical and problem-solving mindset

Proactive, ownership-driven attitude

Experience with SAP (essential)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Fluent in English (required); Dutch is a plus
