Time Type: Full Time
Move forward as Inventory Controller at DSV in Tholen
Are you a perfectionist, proactive, and do you thrive on working with data? Your creativity in finding the right solutions is highly valued within our international environment.
You get it done
As an inventory controller, you are responsible for planning, setting up, monitoring and reporting on the physical stock levels within our warehouse. You will facilitate, coordinate, supervise, monitor and report on the daily cycle counts. A large part of the cycle count process is automated, so you will also be working daily with our drone system, which we use to monitor a significant portion of the stock. The more accurately this is tracked and reported, the smoother the processes in the warehouse will run. Do you spot any discrepancies or stock differences? If so, you’ll act quickly to correct them and work with your team to find a permanent solution to prevent these differences in the future. You’ll be an active part of this!: you’re working on it.
How you do This? In your first year as an inventory controller, you’ll take a number of training courses, which will see you up to speed with all the ins and outs of our warehouse management system in no time. You achieve this by:
- identifying discrepancies between physical stock levels and the stock data in the system;
- facilitating, coordinating and supervising the cycle count process, as well as monitoring its progress;
- analysing product turnover rates and determining the correct placement of products within the warehouse;
- checking and correcting stock data between our warehouse management system and our automated drone system based on reports/flights scheduled by you;
- analysing stock discrepancies and arriving at an appropriate solution, both for the present and for the future;
- processing inventory data in our system, generating reports for management and operations, and independently carrying out analyses to arrive at proactive solutions.
Your team stands out within DSV thanks to the friendly, approachable atmosphere and the way we interact with one another. It’s a close-knit team that’s always there to help one another when needed! We certainly work hard, but there’s always room for a laugh! You’ll be given the freedom and support you need to fulfil this role to the best of your ability.
