Quality & Food Safety Officer
Our Food Safety department is continuously developing and improving. We are looking for a driven and proactive colleague with a passion for food safety and quality, someone who understands the importance of the entire supply chain (from grower to customer) and values strong collaboration across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute, maintain, and improve the quality and food safety systems in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and certification standards
- Support residue sampling activities using STORM (Residue Database)
- Process and evaluate residue analysis reports and communicate findings to buyers
- Prepare supplier assessments based on residue evaluations
- Manage and maintain certification processes together with Agriplace Chain, including GlobalG.A.P., BRCGS, IFS, and other company certifications
- Maintain and communicate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) information with suppliers, including Sedex, SMETA, BSCI, SIZA, and Rainforest Alliance
- Maintain manuals and procedures related to certifications such as IFS, BRCGS, SKAL, and GlobalG.A.P. Chain of Custody
- Monitor procedures, registrations, and compliance processes
- Prepare and supervise internal and external audits
- Maintain product specifications and label control processes
- Provide employee training in HACCP and food safety
- Contribute to the long-term Food Safety vision and strategy of Roveg Fruit B.V.
- Act as point of contact for the commercial department regarding food safety and quality matters
What We Are Looking For:
- Completed HBO degree, preferably in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, or a related field
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Accurate and detail-oriented working style
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Strong analytical mindset
- Team player with strong networking and connecting abilities
- Affinity with fresh produce, fruits and vegetables, and food safety systems is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Normec Carenet is considered a plus
- Willingness to work on-site at our office in Waddinxveen
- Hands-on mentality, proactive attitude, reliability, and solution-oriented thinking
