Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fresh produce warehouse in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory management, warehouse planning, staff coordination, cold storage utilization, and ensuring efficient inbound and outbound logistics operations.

Job Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Manage the daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, classification, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure the warehouse remains safe, organized, and operates efficiently.
- Maximize warehouse space utilization while maintaining smooth operational flow.
Inventory Management
- Supervise and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability for processing and sales requirements.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies and optimize inventory control processes.
- Regularly verify physical inventory against system records and investigate discrepancies promptly.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with logistics providers and agents regarding container unloading arrangements.
- Plan and allocate cold storage space efficiently to ensure smooth unloading and storage operations.
- Ensure daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
Workforce Planning
- Organize daily work schedules for warehouse staff and temporary workers.
- Monitor workforce productivity and ensure efficient utilization of labor resources.
Ripening & Drying Room Management
- Manage the use of drying/ripening rooms effectively.
- Develop reasonable drying plans while minimizing product shrinkage and quality loss.
Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee the routine maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
System Operations
- Process inbound and outbound transactions through the warehouse management system.
- Manage inventory adjustments, stock reconciliations, and product write-offs within the system.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Experience in warehouse management is required.
- Experience in the fresh produce, food, or cold-chain logistics industry is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational, planning, and inventory management skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
Language
- English proficiency is required and must be sufficient for daily business communication.
