As an Implementation Specialist at UAB-Online, you play a key role in helping our customers successfully transition to our software. You are the link between our clients, their operational stakeholders, and our internal teams, making sure customer processes are clearly understood and translated into an effective UAB-Online implementation.
You guide clients through the full implementation lifecycle: from mapping their current way of working and defining requirements to configuring the software, coordinating testing, supporting go-live, and ensuring a smooth handover to Customer Success. You combine a customer-centric mindset with strong project management skills and a solid understanding of software implementation processes.
In this role, you work closely with clients, developers, product owners, and support colleagues. You are comfortable asking the right questions, structuring complex information, solving problems, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the process. Your goal is to deliver implementations that are well-prepared, well-documented, and aligned with the customer’s operational needs.
As an Implementation Specialist, your work is hands-on and varied. One moment you may be discussing operational workflows with a customer, the next you may be configuring the software, coordinating testing, or aligning with Product, Development, and Support on the best way forward.
You can expect a role in which you bring structure to complex customer situations, keep momentum in the implementation process, and help turn requirements into a setup that works in practice.
Your work will include:
-
Mapping customer processes and translating them into a practical UAB-Online setup
-
Creating and managing implementation plans, including timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies
-
Configuring the software to match customer-specific needs
-
Coordinating testing, quality assurance, go-live preparation, and handover to Customer Success
-
Training and supporting customers so they understand how to use the system effectively (optional)
-
Acting as the main point of contact during the implementation phase
-
Documenting requirements, decisions, configurations, and handover information
-
Contributing to better implementation processes, tooling, documentation, automation, and ways of working
For this role, we are looking for someone who combines strong customer focus with structure, ownership, and an affinity with software implementation. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should be eager to learn, able to work independently, and comfortable working in a technical and customer-facing environment.
In general, we look for:
-
Ownership: you take responsibility for your work, follow through, and actively look for ways to improve results
-
Genuine communication: you communicate openly and respectfully, listen well, and say what you mean
-
Collaboration: you share knowledge, ask for input, support others, and help the team make better decisions faster
-
Experience working in an Agile setup
-
Ability to work well in a cross-functional team, while also being comfortable working independently
-
Adaptability in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
-
Affinity with software/IT and the willingness to quickly learn new tools and systems; experience with SaaS is a plus
-
Integrity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information
-
Comfortable working in an ISO-certified environment, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, and following agreed processes for quality, security, and continuous improvement
For the Implementation Specialist role, we additionally value:
-
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple implementations and ensure timely delivery
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams
-
Understanding of software implementation processes, including configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and handover
-
A customer-centric mindset and the ability to translate client needs into practical solutions
-
Experience with training users, supporting clients, or guiding stakeholders through change is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects simultaneously
-
Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written
-
Affinity with the maritime domain; seagoing shipping experience is a strong plus
-
Familiarity with UAB-Online from an end-user perspective is a plus
-
Affinity with AI and automation, and an interest in using new tooling to improve implementation efficiency and quality
