Are you practical, hands-on and good with your hands? Then we may have a nice job for you!
No experience? No problem. If you are practical, eager to learn and take pride in what you make, we will teach you the rest.
At Fender Innovations, we don't make standard products. We develop and manufacture innovative, lightweight fender systems for the international marine industry. Our products are used on lifeboats, fast intervention vessels, tenders, superyachts and other specialized vessels all over the world. And you could play an important part in making them.
From raw shape to a perfect finished product
As part of our workshop finishing and assembly team, you will help ensure that our fender systems not only look perfect, but are also finished to the highest technical standards. You will work with your hands, but also with your head. You will learn how to shape and finish a fender to exact specifications, how to check dimensions and radii, and how to ensure that every product meets our high quality standards. If you enjoy working on location, there will also be opportunities to join your colleagues from the assembly team at customer sites and shipyards to install our fender systems. One day you may be working in our workshop in Wieringerwerf; the next, you could be working at a shipyard somewhere in the Netherlands or abroad. That is what makes this job varied, practical and challenging.
You don't have to know it yet. You just have to want to learn. We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who thinks: “Give me a challenge and I'll figure out how to do it.”
Are you practical? Do you work accurately? Do you enjoy making things with your own hands? Do you have an eye for detail and want to keep improving your skills? Then you already have a great foundation.
You will receive full training on the job and learn the skills of a workshop finishing and assembly technician step by step. As you gain experience, you will also take on more responsibility. And perhaps, along the way, you will discover that you want to develop even further. That's absolutely possible.
Your future at Fender Innovations
We are a growing company and believe in giving good people the opportunity to grow with us. Starting as a member of our workshop finishing team, your development could lead towards becoming a:
Workshop Finishing Specialist Field Service / Installation Technician Or perhaps you will discover another technical direction within our company that suits you even better. We are interested in what you can do today – and where you want to go tomorrow.
