In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for material & inventory planning as well as effective sourcing strategies for procurement of direct and indirect commodities. Working cross functions and globally with engagement with Sales, Operations, Finance, Quality, Product Mgt, Marketing and Legal Teams for successful delivery and performance.
Procurement Management : Scope Direct & Indirect
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives, market conditions, and long-term growth strategies.
Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management to ensure competitive pricing, quality, service levels, and supply continuity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and mutual value creation
Identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality, service standards, and supply chain resilience.
Oversee and support day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring timely execution of purchase orders, supplier follow-up, issue resolution, delivery tracking, and coordination with planning, operations, and suppliers to maintain continuity of supply and service levels
Monitor global market trends, supplier risks, commodity developments, and capacity constraints to proactively mitigate potential disruptions.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, contractual obligations, and sustainability requirements.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers to support new product introductions, supplier selection, product lifecycle management, and cost optimization initiatives across the portfolio.
Supply Chain Management
Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimise inventory levels, customer service performance, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
Oversee demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and replenishment activities to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
Ensure continuity of supply through proactive risk management, supplier diversification, and contingency planning.
Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Product Management to align supply chain activities with business requirements and customer demand.
Partner with Product Management and Trade Compliance teams to ensure product availability, regulatory compliance, import/export requirements, customs processes, and supply chain readiness throughout the product lifecycle.
Supplier & Inventory Performance
Establish supplier KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, responsiveness, innovation, and cost performance.
Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, service reliability, continuous improvement, and cost competitiveness.
Monitor inventory health, obsolescence, safety stock levels, and product availability to support operational and commercial objectives.
Optimise inventory levels while balancing working capital targets, supply risks, and customer service expectations.
Responsible for the fiscal monthly inventory forecast, including the development of inventory projections, monitoring performance against plan, and providing clear bridge analyses between actual and forecasted inventory values to support financial, operational, and working capital objectives.
Lead continuous improvement & digital transformation initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes to improve efficiency, quality, and customer service.
Support ERP implementation, enhancement, and adoption initiatives to drive process standardisation and data accuracy.
Standardise and document processes to improve efficiency, governance, compliance, and scalability across the organisation.
Utilise data analytics, KPI reporting, and business intelligence tools to support fact-based decision making and performance management.
Leadership & People Management
Lead, develop, and coach procurement, planning, and supply chain teams to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.
Establish clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations while fostering accountability and collaboration.
Ensure the procurement and supply chain organisation is structured effectively, with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations, enabling efficient execution, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous development of team capabilities
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, teamwork, and customer focus.
Support succession planning, talent development, and capability building to ensure long-term organisational success.
Skills and Knowledge:

BS/BA in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management

5+ years of experience in Procurement management within a Supply-Chain context, preferably in an international environment

Profound knowledge of building a full Supplier Relationship Management toolkit (NDA’s, Quarterly business reports, Quality improvements, Department project tracker, Bonus/Savings monitoring tool, Contract register, Compliance monitoring tool, Onboarding supplier data and criteria)

Manage Supplier Agreements: Cost analysis and contract writing

Negotiation Skills

Interest in technical products

Able to use Personal Computers including MS/Windows, MS/Excel, MS/Word and warehouse/inventory management systems.

Ability to work with an ERP

System knowledge of ROI and MRP preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to interact and communicate at different levels, both within and outside the organisation

An ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written

Mandatory fluency, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.

A high sense of Ethics
This exciting position offers a salary between €83,000 to €97,000 (payable in 12.96 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location (country).
