As a CBRE Health, Safety andEnvironment Manager, you will oversee creating and implementing health, safety,and environmental programs for small to medium-sized clients.
This job is part of theEnvironment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizationalprograms and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Promote apositive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensurecompliance.
- Assist withimplementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety,and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
- Manageinitiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
- Trackoperational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk managementstrategies to avoid potential incidents.
- Monitorinjury, illness, and incident reports. Provide recommendations on how toprevent risk.
- MonitorHealth, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account.Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintaincompliance as required.
- Work withstakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns,and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
- Lead byexample and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Applyknowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others toachieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify,troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may ormay not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor'sDegree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, acombination of experience and education will be considered.
- Additionalcertifications as required by the local authority.
- Ability toguide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, conveyperformance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadershipskills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of thejob discipline and department.
- In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,et c.
