We're a small, fast-growing e-commerce fulfilment operation — part of the Global E-Commerce Experts group — and we're looking for someone who wants to be more than just a number on a rota.
This is a hands-on supervisory role in our Netherlands warehouse in Hoofddorp. You'll work directly alongside the Warehouse Manager, taking real ownership of the daily operation. You'll lead a team, hit SLAs, and be a key part of building something genuinely exciting from the ground up.
If you're the kind of person who gets a buzz from a smooth dispatch run, takes pride in a well-run floor, and wants to grow with a business — read on.
You'll Need
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or team leader in a busy fulfilment or 3PL environment
- Real e-commerce fulfilment knowledge — pick, pack, dispatch, the full cycle
- The ability to lead, motivate, and performance-manage a warehouse team
- Valid forklift truck licence (heftruck certificaat)
- VCA certificate — or the willingness to get it
- Dutch B1+ and working English (we're part of a UK-headquartered group)
- WMS competency and solid Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of Dutch Arbo-wet H&S obligations
What You'll Actually Do
- Plan and allocate daily workload across inbound, pick, pack, and dispatch — making sure the right people are in the right place
- Be the visible leader on the warehouse floor — your team sees you, works with you, and knows you've got their back
- Monitor team performance against daily KPIs and act quickly when targets are at risk
- Keep the WMS (Warehouse Management System) accurate — your data integrity matters as much as your operational output
- Run quality checks on inbound receipts, outbound shipments, and returns
- Oversee the safe use of MHE — forklifts, reach trucks, the lot
- Make sure every shift is Arbo-wet compliant and H&S standards are never compromised
- Own shift handovers — written, clear, actionable
- Monitor attendance and absence and keep the Warehouse Manager in the loop
- Spot training gaps and fix them — don't wait to be told
- Support with customs documentation, courier liaison, and the occasional official inspection or audit
- Pitch in during stock counts, inventory reconciliation, and cycle counts
- Act as keyholder and take responsibility for building security when required
