What You'll Do
- Preparing and submitting customs declarations for import, export, and transit shipments;
- Ensuring compliance with Dutch and EU customs regulations and procedures;
- Coordinating with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure smooth clearance of goods;
- Managing documentation such as bonded warehouse records, T1/T2 documents, and certificates of origin;
- Monitoring shipments to prevent delays and resolving any customs-related issues that arise;
- Keeping up to date with changes in customs legislation and advising colleagues accordingly.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Customs Declarant or in a similar customs/compliance role;
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures (Dutch/EU customs law);
- Experience with customs software systems is an advantage;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch;
- HBO-level qualification, preferably in Customs & Logistics or a related field;
- A precise, responsible, and proactive attitude, able to work under deadline pressure.
