Within 2Connect, we are looking for a Sales Engineer II for the Medical & Industrial Automation (MIA) business line. In this role, you are responsible for translating customer requirements into technically feasible solutions and guiding projects from initial request through to first production. You will work on applications such as sensors, automation equipment, medical devices, and industrial systems, often in high-mix, low-to-medium volume environments.
You operate at the heart of the organization, continuously interacting with customers, internal departments, and international manufacturing locations. You ensure that technical challenges are properly defined, aligned, and successfully implemented.
The role is technical and project‑driven, with a clear position between sales, engineering, and operations. You provide substantive support to account management and inside sales but do not carry final commercial responsibility yourself.
You will work in a dynamic environment where multiple projects run in parallel and priorities continuously shift. This requires strong oversight, structure, stakeholder management, and a high level of ownership.
Translate customer requests into technically feasible and manufacturable solutions
Assess technical drawings and specifications for manufacturability
Guide projects from initial request through to first production (NPI)
Coordinate samples, prototypes, and validation activities
Align with colleagues at our (international) manufacturing locations to ensure manufacturability, quality, and lead time
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to keep projects on track
Provide technical support to account managers and inside sales
Monitor priorities and progress across multiple concurrent projects
Ensure timely follow‑up and obtain required information from stakeholders
You have a bachelor’s level of thinking and working, with a technical field of study
You have approximately 3 to 7 years of experience in a technical or project‑based environment
You are able to read technical drawings and assess them for manufacturability
You maintain oversight in a dynamic environment with multiple projects running simultaneously
You work in a structured manner and are able to set clear priorities
You are proactive in gathering information and are not afraid to ask follow‑up questions
You take ownership and are capable of independently managing projects
You communicate easily with a wide range of stakeholders
You have a good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus
You are willing to travel internationally a few times per year, depending on project and customer needs
You have experience operating independently in customer-facing technical projects
You are comfortable challenging requirements and proposing alternative technical solutions
