Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Groningen, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Critical Infrastructure Division as a Mechanical Construction Manager, supporting the delivery of a Hyperscale Data Center in the North of Holland.
You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical systems during construction, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the required performance standards.
Your day will include:
- Support the Project Manager to manage and supervise on site personnel on a busy construction site
- Leads by example - sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work
- Taking responsibility for health and safety on site
- Ensure that employees have the relevant training and expertise to carry out their work safely and professionally
- Manage the labour resources on site to ensure efficient working
- Maintain discipline on site, report any incidents and take action as appropriate
- Assist in ensuring systems are handed over to the client
About You
- Trade or Degree qualified in a mechanical discipline.
- Proven track record in the mechanical contracting space, with at least 8 years in a construction management position
- Previous experience in data centre construction projects is desirable
