Ceramic Glazer / Ceramist
At Studio RAP in Rotterdam, we are redefining the way architecture is made. By fusing digital design with robotic fabrication, we create groundbreaking 3D-printed ceramic facades and architectural objects for high-profile projects worldwide. To strengthen our production team, we are looking for a hands-on and precise Glazer/Ceramist. In this role, you will work directly on the production floor, bringing these digital designs to life by executing and perfecting the finishing of our 3D-printed tiles and custom elements.
What will you do?
As a Glazer, you will play a central role in realizing our ceramic projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Production: Daily and accurate glazing of large series of 3D-printed clay objects and tiles.
- Glaze Development: Between production runs, you will conduct tests and develop new glazes and colors.
- Glaze Lab Management: You will be given the responsibility to further set up, organize, and streamline our glaze lab, including inventory management.

- Precision: You work meticulously, in a structured manner, and have a sharp eye for detail. Every tile must meet strict quality standards.
- Physically Active: This is a hands-on position where you are constantly on the move and regularly lift materials or heavy buckets of glaze. A good, healthy baseline fitness level is therefore important to enjoy the work comfortably.
- Experience: You have practical experience with glazing ceramics.
- Knowledge: You have a basic understanding of glaze chemistry and enjoy continuous experimentation.
- Teamwork: You are independent and responsible.
