Within Yanmar Marine, the Global Marketing team plays a key role in enhancing brand visibility, driving engagement, and supporting business growth through strategic events and marketing initiatives. The Event Marketing Specialist ensures professional planning and execution of global and regional events, strengthening brand positioning and delivering measurable impact.
What are you going to do?
As our Event Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing global and regional event initiatives that support Yanmar Marine’s business objectives and brand strategy. You collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to deliver professional, consistent, and impactful events.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate promotional events, product launches, trade shows, and conferences
- Implement comprehensive event strategies aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment across marketing and communication initiatives
- Track and manage the global event marketing budget, delivering events on time and within budget
- Contribute to internal and external PR communications and manage media events
- Ensure all design work and marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines
- Review and approve brand-related materials to maintain consistency and quality
- Develop and maintain networks with internal stakeholders, Marine Business Unit teams, and Yanmar subsidiaries
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and service providers
- Monitor and report key metrics to evaluate event effectiveness and business impact
Who are we looking for?
The ideal Event Specialist is creative, organised, and results-driven. You have a strong understanding of event management and marketing, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and can execute high-quality initiatives that enhance brand presence and drive business growth.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of experience in marketing with a focus on event management
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and support decision-making
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of successfully managing events and marketing campaigns with measurable results
Applicants must currently reside in the Netherlands and be eligible to work in the country, including having a valid work permit or a valid passport.
This position is based in Almere, the Netherlands.
