Help shape the future of digital identity at ING
As part of the introduction of eIDAS 2.0, ING is looking for a temporary, passionate and results-driven Product Owner to join the Frontend Foundation Mobile team.
You will play a key role in the New Identity Framework, a strategic initiative that prepares ING's mobile applications for the new European digital identity regulations. The first phase of the project must be delivered before the end of the year, which is why we're looking for someone who can make an immediate impact. Following the successful delivery of phase one, there is a strong possibility that the assignment will be extended for phase two.
Working closely with the Product Manager, another Product Owner, engineering teams and a wide range of stakeholders, you will help deliver scalable, consistent and future-proof mobile capabilities that support ING's global applications.
What you'll do
As Product Owner, you will lead the eIDAS-related activities within the mobile platform domain. You will define, prioritize and drive the delivery of the capabilities required to support eIDAS 2.0 and related digital identity services.
Your responsibilities include:
-
Translate business needs into clear, executable user journeys, requirements and product features.
-
Design and optimize end-to-end customer journeys.
-
Own and prioritize the product backlog by creating epics, user stories and features with clear business value.
-
Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, UX designers and stakeholders to deliver scalable and automated solutions.
-
Ensure solutions are compliant, controlled and operationally efficient.
-
Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention, improve straight-through processing and enhance data quality at the source.
-
Promote "first time right" delivery through clear documentation, ownership and well-defined requirements.
-
Keep stakeholders informed about the product roadmap, feature progress and upcoming releases through demos, newsletters and other communication channels.
-
Promote a clear product vision that puts the customer first while maintaining standardized solutions.
-
Contribute to an AI-first way of working by leveraging data and automation to improve products and processes.
-
Act as a role model for ING's Orange Code behaviours: Take it on and make it happen, Help others succeed, and Always stay one step ahead.
About the team
You'll become part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of frontend engineers, UX designers and other specialists. You'll work closely with another Product Owner and the Product Manager, allowing you to collaborate on priorities and product direction. The team also works with international engineering teams and stakeholders, including colleagues based in Romania and Spain, making English the primary working language.
Requirements
What you'll bring

You'll also bring:

-
Experience with mobile applications and digital products.
-
Experience with digital identity, authentication and consent flows.
-
Experience as a Product Owner or Agile Business Analyst within an international, complex and technology-driven Agile environment.

-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
-
An ownership mindset with a strong drive for continuous improvement.
-
Experience working with complex system landscapes and integrations.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
The ability to drive delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.
-
A focus on automation, scalability and operational efficiency.
