What you will do as an Information Risk & Compliance Officer
In this role, you work closely with both customers and internal teams. You advise on improvements, provide clear guidance on security and compliance matters, and support stakeholders at every step. You are the primary point of contact for banks, auditors, and regulators, ensuring that Akkuro’s services consistently meet the highest standards of security, transparency, and reliability.
You are highly visible within the organisation and act as a trusted sparring partner for colleagues on information risk and compliance topics.
Your responsibilities include:
- Performing risk analyses and assessments on products, platforms, and processes
- Advising customers on security, risk, and compliance improvements
- Acting as the primary contact for banks, auditors, and supervisory authorities
- Coordinating and leading responses to security incidents
- Embedding risk control and security throughout the software development lifecycle
- Translating security policies into clear, actionable guidelines
- Ensuring compliance is demonstrable and transparent for audits and reporting
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our software processes and SaaS platform
- Advising on the selection and procurement of software, cloud services, and external vendors, with a strong focus on risk and security requirements
As an Information Risk & Compliance Officer, you are part of the Information Risk Management team, working closely with our Information Security Officers. Together, you share one goal: continuously strengthening information security and risk control across Akkuro.
What you bring as an Information Risk & Compliance Officer
You combine strong technical and regulatory knowledge with excellent communication skills. You are proactive, confident, and able to make security and compliance accessible and actionable at all levels of the organisation.
You bring:
- A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO level or higher), preferably in IT, Security, or Information Management
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a complex IT and/or financial environment
- Strong knowledge of information security, preferably supported by relevant certifications
- Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, DNB, EBA, and DORA guidelines, as well as GDPR legislation
- Preferably experience with regulation and compliance in the financial sector
- Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively engage stakeholders at all levels
