What to Expect
*Position can also be based in Berlin, London, Paris or elsewhere in Benelux.* Tesla is seeking an experienced and dynamic expert to take on the role of High Voltage Service Portfolio Lead within our Energy team in EMEA. The ideal candidate is technically skilled in the space and willing to build the High voltage service portfolio regional strategy, leading a team that supports theexecution of the strategy. The candidate will bring excellent technical expertise, a proven track record in the HV and utility sectors, and outstanding communication skills. This position plays a key role in supporting the different stakeholders that work with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites across the region, acting as the company’s authorized representative for commissioning and service activities while ensuring compliance with relevant national regulations and industry standards in each country of operation.
What You'll Do-
Serve as Tesla’s HV/MV operating authority across EMEA

Build MV/HV service portfolio regional strategy: internalizing (or not) service scope and defining ownership in MV/HV equipment

Build a team to design and sustain the relevant processes, governance, resources, and systems that support execution of MV/HV service regional strategy

Manage MV/HV safety procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across the region – partner with Field Managers and HSE leads to enforce safety

Drive related program to establish or update HV rules across countries in EMEA
- Design and oversee processes and governance to execute operational switching at BESS sites

Ensure training, qualifications, and competencies are maintained for all relevant teams
- Provide technical guidance on maintenance, commissioning, installation, and auditing of MV/HV products and electrical systems across distribution and transmission voltages

Operate and support the use of HV test equipment (e.g., primary injection, MV/HV insulation resistance testers, relay testers)
- Review and improve maintenance procedures for Tesla Energy and third-party equipment
- Actively contribute to the development of an HV/MV practice in EMEA

Foster clear communication and feedback within the Tesla Energy service organization
What You'll Bring-
High and Medium Voltage Switching/Operating qualification

Extensive HV, MV and LV operations experience (ideally in EMEA), with experience in large-scale Commercial, Industrial or utility sectors (substation, solar, wind, or storage experience preferred)
- In-depth understanding of electrical safety standards (e.g., ENA Model Distribution Rules, NF C 18-510, BA4/BAS, NEN 3840 etc.) and experience implementing and managing high-voltage safety programs. Strong procedural development skills and ability to work from complex documentation, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and verbal instructions
- Proven experience working with grid operators and network authorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools; comfortable working in a mobile/remote office environment
- Robust analytical and first-principles thinking to tackle complex HV challenges, delivering innovative solutions, complemented by excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Exceptional ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver training to diverse audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and presenting findings
- Valid driver’s license and availability to travel
