About the Role
Packsize is looking for an experienced and self-motivated AP/AR Specialist who will be a member of a cohesive team environment for Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable. You will partner with our Accounting team to build and strengthen our customers' relationship with Packsize. Our various teams at Packsize will collaborate with this role to ensure that invoices are received by customers in a timely manner, vendor invoices are processed, customer and vendor contact information is updated, and customer/vendor disputes are coordinated with all necessary parties. Your ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with others will be vital to your success in this role. You will be an essential participant to ensure that Packsize can continue to operate in an innovative, problem solving, solution focused team. The role will report to the Accounting Manager.
What you'll do
Oversee the complete cycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Review, validate, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation are obtained before payment processing.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, and departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, purchase order mismatches, and payment-related inquiries.
Ensure timely revenue billing and accurate submission of invoices, confirming acceptance with customers and obtaining required information to upload invoices to customer portals.
Perform month-end close activities for Accounts Payable/Accounts receivable, including accrual preparation, account reconciliations, aging reviews, investigate outstanding items and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Generate and distribute regular reports on AP/AR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
Support the Accounting team in the implementation of automation tools and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of AP/AR operations.
Provide assistance during external audits by preparing and supplying requested documentation and supporting schedules.
Take on other accounting-related duties and special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit.
What you'll need
3+ years of experience in AR/AP
Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, finance or associated field
Ability to operate accounting software programs
You are fluent in English (Written & Spoken)
Experience with SAP and other ERP systems
Can work independently and maintain confidentiality
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at the same time
Willing to take initiative, think creatively, and solve complex problems
Nice to have
Experience with SAP, Basware, Salesforce, DOMO.
Fluent in German and Dutch
