Job Title: Supply Planning Manager (EU)
Location: Amsterdam
Reports to (Position): Head of Supply Chain Planning EU
Department/Function: Supply Chain
Number of Direct Reports (Solid Line): 4
Purpose of the Job: The role is responsible for managing production and import planning of all product lines (PCR, TBR, OHT, SM), in concert with the relevant internal and external stakeholders and by managing a team, with a view to maximizing product availability over time while meeting the stock goals and the agreed priorities.
Major Responsibilities:
(1) Process management
- Develop production plans for all product lines (PCR, TBR, OHT, SM) based on demand forecast, production capacities and inventory goals
- The primary user responsible for approving any process modifications and digital system designs in your area
- Prepare and maintain the documentation relevant for relevant area of responsibility (Process diagrams, Risks analysis, SOP, etc.)
(2) Production Planning:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather demand forecasts, align priorities, and address any supply chain issues.
- Coordinate import planning activities, including procurement from internal suppliers and transportation, to ensure timely availability of imported products.
- Optimize inventory levels for all product lines to balance product availability with cost considerations, minimizing excess inventory while meeting customer demand.
- Drive continued progress in mid- and long-term planning, anticipating future constraints 4-18 months in advance with data driven insights & Equipment requirements
- Connecting strategic business plans to long range supply planning, monthly Supply Planning process, weekly steering, and daily shipments
(3) Continuous Improvement
- Continuously improving supply planning processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the production and import planning functions, implementing best practices and driving efficiency gains over time
- Drive digitalization to ensure required and innovative Supply Planning developments are accomplished according to the roadmap
(4) Leadership
- Guide, motivate and stimulate a team of 4 direct reports
- Lead, grow and develop team with a focus on building functional and technical depth in Supply Chain
Requirements:
- Bachelor or master degree in quantitative subjects (eg. Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Engineering).
- 8+ year experience in supply chain planning and production in a technical industry (preferably automotive)
- Knowledge of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP and Replenishment
- Understanding of industrial constraints and manufacturing in general
- Knowledge of and experience in ERP systems (preferably SAP), advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and strong analytical abilities
- Result Oriented
- Proficiency in stakeholder management and Competency in project management
- Fluency in English, knowledge of other European languages is a plus
