Voor onze vestiging in Nederland (s-'Hertogenbosch) zijn wij op zoek naar uitbreiding van ons huidige team op de service afdeling. Supermicro is al meer dan 30 jaar een begrip op het gebied van Moederborden, Servers en totaaloplossingen, waarbij wij op basis van servicecontracten service verlenen aan grote klanten in diverse branches.

Over de functie:
Als Datacenter Solutions Engineer maak je deel uit van het Supermicro Global Service Installation Team en help je mee aan het opbouwen van een serviceorganisatie van wereldklasse. Uitvoeren van het racken en installeren van server hardware, netwerkapparatuur en kabelgeleiding van koper-/glasvezelkabels uit. Je biedt technische ondersteuning voor geïnstalleerde apparatuur met betrekking tot hardware- en softwarefunctionaliteiten. Je rapporteert aan en assisteert de Solutions manager in de dagelijkse gang van zaken en maakt ook deel uit van het servicedesk team dat werkt aan servicetickets. Tevens assisteer je bij klantcontact en het uitvoeren van hardware-break-fixes op locatie bij klanten.

We are looking to expand our current team in the service department for our branch in the Netherlands (s-'Hertogenbosch). Supermicro has been a household name in the field of Motherboards, Servers and total solutions for more than 30 years, where we provide service to major customers in various industries on the basis of service contracts.

About the position:
As a Datacenter Solutions Engineer you will be part of the Supermicro Global Service Installation Team and help build a world-class service organization. Carrying out racking and installation of server hardware, network equipment and cable routing of copper/fiber optic cables. You provide technical support for installed equipment with regard to hardware and software functionalities. You report to and assist the Solutions manager in the daily business and are also part of the service desk team that works on service tickets. You also assist with customer contact and carrying out hardware break fixes on location at customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Samenwerken met het engineeringteam om ervoor te zorgen dat de hardware correct wordt geïnstalleerd volgens de specificaties.
Kwaliteitscontroles uitvoeren en de functionaliteit testen na de installatie.
Bieden van eerstelijns technische ondersteuning aan eindgebruikers via telefoon, e-mail en ticketsysteem.
Indien nodig complexe problemen doorverwijzen naar supportteams op een hoger niveau.
Bereid zijn om (internationaal) te reizen om installaties bij klanten uit te voeren of problemen te lossen in datacenters.

Perform physical installation, rack and stack, cabling and networking of data center hardware.
Assist/support in the implementation of server, storage and network equipment.
Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions.
Work with the engineering team to ensure hardware is installed correctly according to specifications.
Perform quality checks and test functionality after installation.
Provide first-line technical support to end users via telephone, email and ticketing system.
Refer complex issues to higher level support teams when necessary.
Be willing to travel (internationally) to carry out installations at customers or solve problems in data centers.

Qualifications:

Nederlands

5 jaar ervaring in het onderhouden van complexe X86-systemen en -componenten in een datacenteromgeving.
Bachelorsdiploma of voor Nederlands MBO4 in Informatica, Computertechniek en Elektrotechniek of vergelijkbaar niveau verkregen door ervaring.
Sterke schriftelijke en verbale communicatievaardigheden, je hebt een goede beheersing van de Engelse taal, Nederlands is een pre.
Aantoonbare vaardigheden in het analyseren en diagnosticeren van server hardware. En een goed begrip van hoe BIOS, stuurprogramma's en belasting van toepassingen systeemproblemen kunnen veroorzaken.
Kunnen werken in een uitdagende, dynamische en snelle omgeving. Je moet oplossingsgericht zijn, een teamspeler die problemen tijdig kan identificeren en signaleren en proactief oplossingen kan aandragen.
Nadruk op break/fix en onsite klantenservice.
Hands-on ervaring met server hardware.
Je bent representatief, hebt een geldig rijbewijs B en woont binnen een straal van 40 km van 's-Hertogenbosch.

English

5 years of experience in servicing complex X86 systems and components in a datacenter environment.
Bachelor’s degree or for Dutch MBO4 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering or comparable level obtained through experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills, you have an excellent command of the English language, Dutch would be a plus.
Demonstrated hardware system analytics and diagnostics skills, as well as a good understanding of how BIOS, drivers, and application loads can cause system issues.
Ability to work in a challenging, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. Must be solution-oriented, a team player with the ability to identify and escalate issues in a timely manner, and be proactive in driving solutions.
Emphasize on break/fix and onsite Customer Service.
Hands-on experience with Enterprise grade server hardware.
You are representable, have valid driving license B and live withing a radius of 40 km of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
