Are you an experienced finance professional who likes to look beyond the numbers? Magnicity Netherlands is looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for our financial organization and act as a strong sparring partner for management. You will work from our modern office at Little C in Rotterdam and, from there, be involved with our two unique locations: the iconic Euromast and Celest on the 57th and 58th floors of the Zalmhaven Tower.
Your role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial and administrative operations of Euromast and Celest. You will combine financial control, accounting and strategic financial advice, while acting as an important sparring partner for management. You will report directly to the Managing Director and lead a team of four finance professionals. Drawing on your expertise, you will actively contribute to the further growth, development and financial health of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial planning & control: preparing and analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
- Reporting & business partnering: preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, analyzing results and KPIs, and advising the Managing Director and management.
- Accounting & financial administration: ensuring accurate financial administration and processes, including AP, AR, reconciliations, inventory administration and Income Audit.
- Cash flow & treasury: monitoring liquidity, cash flow and payments and maintaining banking relationships.
- Compliance, audit & risk: ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and internal controls, and coordinating audits in collaboration with external auditors and tax partners.
- Team leadership: managing and developing the finance and administration team.
- Investments & growth: supporting business cases, investments, CapEx and new projects, and assessing financial opportunities and risks.
In short: you are not only responsible for the numbers, but also ensure that Finance is a strategic and reliable partner to the business.
What you bring
- HBO-level education and thinking, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in a similar financial position.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial planning.
- The ability to translate financial analyses into concrete insights and advice for the business.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience with financial software/ERP systems; experience with Exact Online is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to translate financial information clearly into actionable business insights.
- You are independent, reliable and results-oriented.
