Key qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in independence, risk, quality or compliance.

Strong knowledge of auditor independence requirements (SEC, PCAOB, IESBA) and related policies, tools and quality systems.

Proven written and verbal English communication skills.
Desirable

Experience in a global, multi‑time‑zone environment and/or professional services/public accounting.

Familiarity with audit platforms, technology tools and data‑driven analysis.

Proactive, self‑starting approach with the ability to drive projects independently.

Deloitte Global is hiring a Manager for the Global Independence team (Global Risk & Brand Protection) — a high‑impact role advising on independence matters, driving compliance initiatives and delivering network‑wide projects.
Key responsibilities

Lead global policy updates: project‑manage the process, draft amendments and socialize changes.

Maintain independence tools and templates for PCAOB/ISA engagements and support updates to Omnia and Levvia to embed requirements.

Advise firms on complex independence questions: analyze fact patterns, provide practical conclusions, and promote consistent application.

Manage waivers and breach records: document, track and identify improvements.

Coordinate cross‑border issue resolution with stakeholders to deliver clear, practical outcomes.

Support strategic projects, deliver technical training, and drive knowledge‑sharing to strengthen independence awareness and compliance.
