Your position
As a writing tutor at the Scriptorium, you will assist Tilburg University students with their writing assignments and theses. You offer customized support, act as a sounding board, ask critical questions, and point out structural areas of improvement to students and provide them with strategies to address these. You do this by appointment during one-on-one meetings with students. The job is ideal for combining with your studies because you have a lot of flexibility about where and when you work.
Your profile
- You study at Tilburg University.
- You are fluent in English.
- You have affinity and extensive experience with writing academic texts (e.g. reports, papers or a bachelor thesis) and are eager to share this knowledge and experience with other students.
- You have good communication and social skills.
- You are available until at least October 1, 2027 (and preferably longer), for at least one half-day per week.
- You have no other employment with Tilburg University (due to administrative restrictions around contracts).

- An on-call position with an average of 20-25 hours per month, depending on the demand for supervision.
- A salary of minimum of €26.04 and maximum €26,51 gross per hour, based on UFO profile Student Assistant. Salary depends on the number of credits earned.
- This is a vacancy for a student assistant who supports non-structural and operational tasks, in accordance with Article 2.3, paragraph 6 sub f of the CLA for Dutch Universities. Conditions for employment as a student assistant are that you are registered as a student at Tilburg University and that you have obtained at least 60 ECTS credits.
