We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building the next steps; the everyday processes and structures that let a growing organization run smoothly today and tomorrow. Note that this is a hands-on, one-person role where you also roll up your sleeves and do the actual work. Of course you’ll get help in the company, but you don’t have your dedicated team – the company is too small for that.
We operate on Holacracy principles, which means decisions live close to the people doing the work. Your job isn't to make those decisions for others; it's to bring clarity to where decisions should be made, coach people through that process, and build the operational backbone that supports it. For management, strategy and HR we use EOS. While most of the job will be about running and improving operations, it’s also important to translate the long term vision to quarterly goals and communicate this to the teams.
-
Design, build, and continuously improve our internal administrative and operational processes. This is the heart of the role.
-
Support people development initiatives across the organization
-
Operate within, and actively strengthen, our EOS and Holacracy ways of working
-
Step in and take ownership of tasks that don't yet have a clear home in our circle structure
-
Stimulate and harmonize collaborations cross functionally between teams and team members
-
Identify and clarify the right metrics (incl. KPI’s) of people, projects and departments that ensure further growth
-
Contribute to a winning culture with people that enjoy their work
-
Help teams take full accountability for their role and turn them into the leaders they can be
Solve day-to-day problems, identify the source and fix it
-
-
Minimum 15 years of prior experience taking end-to-end responsibility in a startup-type organization between 40 and 200 people.
-
Practical experience and knowledge applying principles and theories of self-organization and autonomy (such as Holacracy, Getting Things Done, Eckart Wintzen, or Ricardo Semler)
-
Practical experience and knowledge in company-building, especially around culture and processes
-
Prior experience working with tech teams is a plus
-
A generalist with strong people instincts: you read the room, you notice when someone is off, and you can have a real conversation with anyone in the company
-
An understanding of how a software company like ours grows and operates: there's a lot of "blue" energy at Stream HPC, and you enjoy working with a team like that
-
Experience working in an international setting
-
Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required
-
A salary range of €100,000–€120,000, based on experience
-
A company laptop and all the equipment you need to do your work well
-
Flexible working hours, so you can build a schedule that fits your life
-
A collaborative culture built on problem-solving, teamwork, and open communication
-
A flat organization where you have the freedom, and the responsibility to focus on what you're good at and make a real impact
-
A supportive path into the role: a 6-month onboarding period, followed by a 1-year contract, and an indefinite contract from there
-
Hybrid working, with 2 days a week in our office
-
An NS Business Card for easy travel to our office in Lelylaan, Amsterdam
-
A minimum of 20 vacation days
-
A company-wide event once a year to celebrate together
Our recruiter will reach out within 5 working days of your application. You'll first receive a short questionnaire to give us a quick sense of your profile, followed by an initial online interview. The second round takes place in person at our office, where you'll meet our CEO/Founder. In the third and final round, you'll return to the office to meet the wider team, after which we'll discuss the offer and, hopefully, shake hands. We aim to keep the process as simple and straightforward as possible.
