About the role
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Procurement Analyst Intern to join our GPO Business Intelligence Team at our European Headquarters in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will support ICL’s procurement divisions by delivering valuable market intelligence and data-driven insights. You will help translate complex market developments into actionable information, contributing directly to strategic procurement decisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, international environment and develop analytical and business intelligence skills within procurement.
Your Responsibilities
As a Procurement Analyst Intern, you will:
- Support the GPO Business Intelligence Team in day-to-day operations
- Collect, analyze, and interpret market intelligence related to chemicals and supply markets
- Translate market insights into clear and actionable updates for procurement stakeholders
- Contribute to internal newsletters to keep procurement teams informed of market developments
- Conduct research on vendors, pricing, availability, and logistics
- Handle ad hoc procurement requests on specific chemicals or niche markets
- Support data consolidation and improve existing databases
- Assist in building dashboards and automating reporting processes
- Contribute to sustainability-related initiatives such as collecting emissions data from suppliers
- Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
You are a motivated and detail-oriented student with a strong interest in data and market analysis.
Additionally, you:
- Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. Data Science, Economics, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or related) at a Dutch university
- Are available for at least 6 months, for 3–5 days per week
- Have a basic understanding of chemicals or chemical markets
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Are proactive, accurate, and able to work independently and in a team
- Have solid skills in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Are fluent in English (mandatory); Mandarin is a plus
- Are currently residing in the Netherlands and is able to commute to the office.
