- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (or equivalent).
- Fully qualified teacher status for secondary education, recognized in the country where the qualification was obtained. (For UK/Ireland/Scotland applicants, you must have QTS and have completed or been exempt from the statutory induction period).
- Your teaching qualifications must meet the Dutch Education Authorities' (DUO) standards.
- Proficiency in English at a C2 level (CEFR).
- Experience teaching students aged 11–18.
- Open and positive attitude to long-term feedback (learning never ends).
- Willing to take on necessary organisational tasks (camps, coach, sports days) to fulfill departmental needs.
- Hands-on, proactive approach and ability to differentiate.
- Professional attitude (e.g., meeting deadlines, maintaining a professional workspace).

- Passion for promoting physical activity and well-being.
- Positive general demeanor.
- Willing to take on an after-school sports team. No specialisation required, but a proactive attitude towards learning a specific sport is essential.

- Knowledge of additional EU languages is an advantage.

- We offer a salary aligned with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO VO). The salary is a minimum of 3622€ and a maximum of 5520€ for a full-time contract on the LB scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview, either in person or via Microsoft Teams. As part of the interview process, candidates may be asked to teach a lesson to an assigned class under the observation of the Subject Coordinator and, where applicable, the Line Manager. A portion of the interview will focus on discussion and reflection on this lesson.
