The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is the foremost network organisation for the Dutch water sector. The Netherlands has a rock-solid reputation in water management, and we believe this expertise can make a global difference. We help the Dutch water sector share its knowledge, connect with key partners, and engage in opportunities related to exports, international cooperation, and promotion.
NWP has around 180 members, including profit and non-profit organisations, covering areas from water technology to infrastructure, as well as NGOs and government bodies. Through projects, programmes, events, and activities, we create visibility for the Dutch water sector, helping our members expand market opportunities on the international stage. YEP Programmes is one of the main programmes implemented by NWP. The mission of YEP Programmes is to create a young, renewed, inspiring international network and build expertise in the field of Water and Agrofood (nexus) through Dutch organisations.
As Project Officer for YEP Programmes, you work closely together with other colleagues of the YEP programme bureau and NWP on the selection process of both YEP organisations and candidates, as well as many other aspects of the programme, such as supporting the training coordinator in the Start and Return Training Programmes. You report to the Project Manager YEP Water & Tailor-made.
As Project Officer Online Learning you coordinate the YEP Online Learning Trajectory. You frequently meet with representatives of Dutch organisations, Young Experts, (online) trainers and coaches. You are responsible that YEP participants experience a smooth and well-facilitated online learning trajectory.
Our ideal candidate is somebody with a go-getter attitude, creative, structured, excellent planning skills, and experience/willing to learn to work with various online tools. She/he is able to translate the team’s objectives into clear priorities, maintaining a clear overview and adjusting as circumstances change.
YEP Online learning
- (Co)coordinate the online learning process of Young Experts, including the online courses;
- Make use and coordinate the use of our online tools like Basecamp, Miro, Mailchimp, Indesign;
- Monitoring & evaluation of the online courses, and use data to think of and implement innovations and improvements;
- Administration of online course statistics in the CRM system.
YEP Training support
You support the Training coordinator in the coordination of the offline training programme including:
- Logistics and administration;
- Monitoring & evaluation;
- Representation of the YEP programmebureau on training days.
YEP Programme Bureau
- Coordinate the YEP CRM system;
- Coordinate the YEP mentor and supervisor involvement;
- Assessment of YEP position submissions;
- Review programme candidates’ CVs and motivation letters;
- Recruitment and selection through offline and online selection interviews;
- Concluding YEP journeys: closure calls with Young Experts;
- First point of contact for ad-hoc and practical questions or requests from Young Experts and alumni Young Experts;
- Tech hosting of online sessions for YEP network activities;
- All round support and representation.
Supporting NWP Activities
During peak periods for the organisation, you will support NWP colleagues in implementing activities, such as supporting visits of international delegations.

- We are looking for an enthusiastic and people-oriented professional who is based in the Netherlands and has the right to work in the Netherlands (i.e. a valid working permit) at the time of applying. You have:
- Affinity with and/or experience in working with young professionals, early-career talent or other target groups in learning and development programmes;
- A relevant higher education degree, for example in educational sciences, international development, water management or a related field;
- Strong organisational, planning, reporting and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities at the same time;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- An accurate and analytical approach, with an eye for detail and the ability to work with data and information;
- Good digital skills and experience with online learning platforms, CRM and other digital tools;
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people;
- A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team;
- An open, curious and learning-oriented mindset, with a willingness to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement;
- The ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds, cultures and professional environments.
What would be an advantage
The following experience and skills would be an advantage:
- Experience in online or offline capacity development, training, talent development or young professional programmes;
- Familiarity with the Dutch water sector, international development and/or international multi-stakeholder environments;
- Additional language skills, particularly Spanish, French, Arabic or Portuguese;
- International work or living experience.
