Senior IT Support Specialist
As a Senior IT Support Specialist at PPHE Hotel Group, you will play a key role in keeping our hotels, restaurants, and offices across the UK and the Netherlands fully operational and connected. You will take ownership of complex issues, support projects and upgrades, and guide colleagues—ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in IT support, preferably within a senior/team lead role
- Strong experience working with Microsoft with solid troubleshooting skills
- A confident communicator with the ability to guide, mentor, and influence others
- A self-starter who takes ownership and works effectively independently
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams
- Hospitality experience is a plus, but not essential
What you'll be doing as a Senior IT Support Specialist:
- Assist with the strategic and tactical support of key software and hardware systems.
- Ensure support requests are handled in a timely manner in line with our Technical Support Process and SLAs, including testing and deployments.
- Support both planned (projects, upgrades) and unplanned (incidents, requests) IT activities with a strong customer-focused approach.
- Assist in prioritising and coordinating the workload of the Netherlands-based IT Support team.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to other IT Support team members.
- Facilitate system access requests securely and efficiently.
- Maintain and continuously improve system documentation, procedures, and knowledge resources to support smooth operations.
- Assist with implementing new applications, enhancements, and upgrades to existing systems.
- Proactively identify critical business, technical, or operational issues and drive them through to resolution.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and translate functional and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate closely with Applications, Infrastructure/Network, and IT Security teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders via written, verbal, and face-to-face channels.
- Actively contribute to the wider Technology & Business Solutions team and share best practices to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and business needs.
- Support a service-driven culture by delivering a high level of customer experience to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as an active member of the Technology & Business Solutions Management Team.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
