Gimas Ship Supply & Services B.V. is a trusted ship supplier with over 30 years of experience. We deliver high-quality products and services to ships around the world. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and take responsibility for coordinating and following up on our daily warehouse, logistics, shipment, and delivery operations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, solution-oriented, and able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, customers, suppliers, transport companies, agents, and other operational partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations: Follow up orders, shipments, deliveries, warehouse, and logistics processes to ensure smooth and timely operations.
- Coordinate the operations team: Organize staff responsibilities, daily work planning, and operational priorities to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers: Handle delivery, shipment, stock, and operational matters, and keep clients informed about the status and progress of their deliveries.
- Follow up on warehouse and inventory processes: Monitor stock levels, incoming and outgoing goods, warehouse organization, and overall warehouse activities.
- Manage and coordinate logistics processes: Coordinate with transport companies, shipping agents, vessels, ports, suppliers, and other external partners regarding transportation and delivery schedules.
- Monitor operational costs: Follow up on transportation, warehouse, and other operational costs and support the identification of practical and efficient solutions where appropriate.
- Resolve operational issues: Take prompt action in cases of delays, missing or incorrect goods, shipment problems, customs and other operational issues.
- Reporting: Monitor operational performance and provide relevant operational reports to management when required.
