What are you going to do?

The new Junior Lecturer is expected to strengthen the educational component of the Department of IM&S.

The junior lecturer is a position focused on teaching, with 90% of the time allocated to teaching tasks, and 10% reserved for research and development activities. Educational tasks can be fulfilled at the bachelor as well as the master level. You will supervise tutorial groups and bachelor thesis projects and assist in grading of bachelor and master courses. There are also opportunities to contribute to the development of our blended teaching and the embedding of societal themes in our curricula. The specific tasks will depend on your own expertise and experience.

This appointment is for a period of 2 years, with an assessment requiring a positive evaluation at the end of the first year of employment.

Who are you?

We seek a candidate who is committed to excellence in teaching. With the following qualifications:

Have an MSc degree in one of the tracks of the Business Administration program or a related discipline, preferably International Business, or are about to obtain one.
Have experience as a student assistant or comparable work experience in an education environment.
Are fluent in Dutch and English.
Have excellent communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
Function well in an international environment.
Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully work both independently and in a team.

What can you expect from us?

In accordance with the collective labor agreement for Dutch universities, we offer a salary of at least € 3.706 up to a maximum of € 5.760 (schaal 10) gross per month for a full-time employment contract.
232 vacation hours per year, based on a 38-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). You can also work more or fewer hours in exchange for more or fewer free hours. For example, with a 40-hour workweek, you save 96 extra free hours, and with a 36-hour workweek, you lose 96 hours.
End-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 8% holiday allowance.

A two-year temporary appointment, with the possibility of extension for an additional year.
