As a Pastry Chef at Crave, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and culinary skills by preparing delicious plant-based pastries and cakes. Your ability to experiment with flavors, textures, and ingredients will contribute to the unique offerings at Crave. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality baking will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction. Experience in lamination and viennoiserie production is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute plant-based pastry recipes, including cakes, cookies and other specialty items.
- Prepare and decorate pastries according to Crave's standards of excellence.
- Collaborate with the team to create new menu items that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain inventory and order ingredients to ensure freshness and availability.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Willing to assist in all necessary daily kitchen duties.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a specialty bakery or café setting.
- Knowledge of plant-based baking techniques, ingredient substitutions, and allergen considerations is a big plus
- Creativity and ability to innovate while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
