We are looking for Data Engineers who are strong on the technical side and also comfortable talking directly with clients. You will design, build and maintain data lakehouses, and explain your choices in a way that clients without a technical background can understand.
work closely with clients and our engineering teams to build data platforms that are secure, compliant, and easy to trust. You combine strong technical skills with the people skills to explain your work clearly, even to clients who are not technical.
- Design and build data lakehouse solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift and Lake Formation

Set up data governance, with special attention to protecting personal data (PII) and meeting legal requirements

Manage data residency, so data stays in the right region and follows local rules such as GDPR
-
Act as a technical advisor for clients: you explain architecture choices, security measures and timelines in plain language
-
Manage relationships with client stakeholders, from executives to technical teams, while keeping projects on track
-
Build and maintain data pipelines with a strong focus on data quality, security and compliance
-
Work with data analysts, security officers and legal advisors to build solutions that work for everyone involved
- Experience designing and building data lakehouse architectures (for example Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Flink or similar tools)

Hands-on AWS experience, including S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena and Redshift

Experience handling PII data, including encryption, masking and access control
-
Experience building or maintaining ML feature stores or ML pipelines in production
-
Some knowledge of deploying AI or ML models on AWS

Knowledge of data residency rules and compliance frameworks such as GDPR
-
Strong communication skills: you can explain technical topics to people without a technical background

Experience working directly with clients or internal stakeholders in a consulting role

Good skills in Python, SQL, Scala or similar languages for data engineering

A solid understanding of data security and privacy rules, and how to apply them in practice

An open mind and curiosity about new technologies

Excellent English ánd Dutch, spoken and written

The right to work in the Netherlands
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, Data Analytics Specialty, AI or similar)

Experience with data governance tools or metadata management platforms

Experience delivering data solutions to enterprise clients

Experience in the Telco or Media industry

Experience with generative AI tools or LLM applications in data projects

Understanding of responsible and ethical AI principles
