MR MARVIS is entering its next stage of international growth, and we’re looking for a Head of People to help build the organisation needed for what comes next. How do you scale a founder-led retail business from 300 to 600+ employees while keeping the culture strong, teams aligned, and standards high? This role is focused on building the structure, leadership capability, and People foundations needed to support that journey.

Founded in 2016 by a team of three, we’ve grown to 300+ employees across our HQ, retail stores, and international operations. Today, you’ll find MR MARVIS stores in cities including Amsterdam, Antwerp, Munich, and Brussels, alongside a rapidly growing online presence across Europe.

You will lead the evolution of the People function as MR MARVIS scales from 300 to 600+ employees across HQ, retail, and international markets. Supported by an existing HRBP structure, you will work closely with founders and leadership to professionalize the organization, strengthen leadership capability, and build the foundations needed for the next stage of growth:
Scalable Foundation: Build a scalable People strategy and culture, with a strong focus on organizational performance and growth
Growth & Reward: Design and implement scalable performance, growth, and compensation frameworks that improve clarity, accountability, and retention
Operational Excellence: Strengthen and evolve core People operations, systems, and processes across HQ, retail, and international teams
Team Leadership: Lead and develop the People team of 7 across HR Operations, HRBP, Talent Acquisition, and Office Management, raising capability and strengthening execution
Leadership Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to founders and leadership, helping shape organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership capability as the business scales
Essential
10+ years of People / HR experience, including scaling organizations through major growth phases (e.g. ~100 to 300+ or 300 to 600+ employees)
Experience building or professionalizing People functions within international, multi-site organizations, including learning and development initiatives
Strong leadership capability across HRBP, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and organizational development
Proven ability to challenge, influence, and coach founders and leadership teams during periods of organizational growth and change
Strong business understanding across retail, HQ, and operational environments
Pragmatic builder who enjoys creating structure, improving internal communication and foundations, and scaling organizations in fast-moving environments
Nice to have
Experience working within retail / fashion
Experience in optimizing People systems and automation with an interest in AI
English-speaking environment; Dutch is a plus
