As a Robotics Engineer, you work on high‑quality automated machines for the automotive industry as well as new, fast‑growing markets such as the food industry. Within this Business Unit, we are building the future of AWL by developing technologies and solutions that further strengthen our position in these sectors.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary project team and work on innovative and complex production systems where quality, reliability and performance are key.
What will you do?
You will translate the client’s functional and technical requirements into robust robot control programmes for robots and peripheral equipment, working with various joining techniques such as arc welding, spot welding, laser welding and adhesive bonding. You will do this within demanding production environments. You will be involved in projects at every stage: from engineering and implementation through to commissioning at the customers site.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Testing, simulating and optimising robotic systems on the shop floor, with a strong focus on quality and cycle time;
- Identifying and proposing technical improvements within projects;
- Acting as a technical point of contact for colleagues and customers;
- Preparing and delivering handovers and training sessions for customers;
- Commissioning machines and production lines worldwide together with the project team.
You will work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from compact robotic cells to complete, industry‑specific production lines. This diversity, combined with the opportunity to work in new markets, makes every project unique.
