About the Role
The Senior Service Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for providing technical after-sales service and support for Motek Medical's research and rehabilitation systems.
The installation, servicing, and support of our products require collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines. Your goal is to ensure successful installations and service activities, deliver projects on time, and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Using your technical expertise, you will provide and coordinate first-line support to customers, second-line support to service partners, and collaborate with internal specialists to resolve complex technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical service and support within the assigned territory or region.
- Assemble and install Motek Medical systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform system commissioning, testing, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all installed systems meet performance, safety, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to maximize customer satisfaction and system performance.
- Provide technical feedback and recommendations for product improvements to Product Management and Engineering.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, installation reports, maintenance records, and service histories for all installed systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of service processes and documentation.
- Deliver professional customer training during installations and service visits when required.
This position requires approximately 70% international travel and 30% office-based activities.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree or technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience working with complex mechanical or electromechanical systems in industries such as medical devices, biomedical engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, robotics, or automation.
- Good understanding of mechanical assemblies, electronic components, and computer systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical documentation.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Solution-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as within an international team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Valid driver's license.
- EU citizen or holder of a valid work permit.
