The job
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the industrialization, optimization, and continuous improvement of our high-precision optical manufacturing processes.
You will act as the technical bridge between R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production, ensuring that innovative optical products are successfully transferred from development into stable, scalable, and cost-effective serial manufacturing.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced manufacturing technologies while directly contributing to product quality, process capability, and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for different kinds of projects. NPI andindustrialisation, process improvement and yield optimalization among others. You will define and execute process qualification, validation, and verification activities to ensure robust and repeatable manufacturing performance. By applying quality methodologies such as pFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem solving.
Tasks & Responsibilities

Lead the industrialization and introduction of new products into production (NPI)

Develop, document, qualify, and optimize manufacturing processes for advanced optical components

Analyze manufacturing data and process performance to improve yield, capability, and stability and implement corrective actions using data-driven methodologies

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Conduct risk assessments using pFMEA and support Control Plan development

Troubleshoot process deviations and lead structured root-cause investigations using 8D methodologies

Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure robust product realization

Contribute to the development of next-generation manufacturing technologies and methods
We are looking for

A Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics

At least 5 years of relevant experience in a high-tech or precision manufacturing environment

Experience with continuous improvement, yield improvement projects, design and quality methods (pFMEA, 8D)

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a hands-on approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills in English (Dutch is a strong plus)

Knowledge or experience in glass or ceramics processing is a definite advantage
