Mission
Your Role
We are looking for a motivated Geneticist with strong organizational and scientific skills, who will work in Boxmeer (The Netherlands) within our central R&D team, starting in January 2027 . You will be part of the Global Genotyping Team (GGT) of Hendrix Genetics and will play an integral part in ensuring the breeding programs in layers, broilers, turkeys, swine, salmonids and shrimp have high-quality genotypes available for genomic selection. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of genotypes, and contribute to strategic improvements in our lab and genotype pipeline workflows. You will work closely with your colleagues at GGT, the different Business Units, HG lab, IT and service providers. In addition, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of R&D projects which are aimed at improving our breeding programs.
Responsibilities
Coordinating logistics for sample handling and genotyping.
Executing genotype pipeline uploads, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery to the Business Units.
Driving improvements in lab processes and workflows.
Executing complex genotype pipeline improvement projects.
Acting as a liaison between GGT, Business Units, HG lab, IT and, service providers.
Profil
Your Profile
PhD in Animal Breeding, Genetics, or related field.
Strong understanding of molecular or quantitative genetics.
Affinity with laboratory processes and data systems.
Experience in working with genomics and large-scale genotype datasets is required.
Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international setting.
Fluent in English.

A competitive salary ranging from €3.500 to €4.500 gross per month (based on full-time employment), depending on your knowledge and experience
