About the position
As a Process Technologist, you play a key role in bringing our products to life. You will turn product concepts into scalable, robust processes; ensure our process specifications and artwork are accurate and compliant; and support analytical validation to guarantee that what we make meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and consistency. You will work closely with Processing Engineers, Product Developers, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and our global Food Centre experts to translate technical insights into real kitchen ready solutions—across cream cheese, creams, dairy and plant based. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that requires agility, cross functional collaboration, and a passion for food technology.
You will:
- Support process development for new and existing products, including pilot trials, scale up, and industrialisation.
- Conduct product and process analysis (physical, chemical, rheological, sensory) to validate product quality and performance.
- Develop and maintain process specifications, critical parameters, equipment settings, and operating ranges for our manufacturing partners.
- Ensure technical accuracy for artwork, including ingredient declarations, allergens, nutritional information, and processing statements.
- Own and maintain specification data across internal systems—ensuring it is complete, accurate, and on time for launch.
- Troubleshoot process or quality deviations together with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
- Support continuous improvement and capability building initiatives within the global R&D and Processing community.
- Collaborate proactively with cross functional partners, acting as a trusted technical contact.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FSSC), regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
- Produce clear documentation to support safe execution of processes by factories and co manufacturers.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment—supporting others, sharing knowledge, and caring for the details.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Technology, or Food Processing, along with 2–3 years of experience in FMCG, ideally within food manufacturing, R&D, process, or quality roles. You bring a strong technical foundation in key unit operations such as emulsification, heat treatment (UHT), mixing, homogenisation, or fermentation. You are comfortable working with product specifications, artwork, and technical or regulatory systems (experience with PLM, ERP, or LIMS is a plus). You have an analytical mindset and can translate data into actionable insights. You are naturally curious, proactive, and willing to be hands-on during pilots, factory trials, and process validation. In addition, you demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
