Joining our collaborative team of 16 language specialists across German, French, and Spanish, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless, high-quality continuum of Language Acquisition and Language & Literature from the MYP through to the DP. This position is ideal for a reflective practitioner who maintains high standards for effective classroom management and thrives in a collaborative, inquiry-based environment.
- Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons using differentiation strategies to support high-ability students and those with additional language or learning needs.
- Partner with the German team and wider staff to plan, refine, and deliver the IB curriculum, contributing to interdisciplinary learning and IB projects.
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being while fostering a growth mindset.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, maintaining strong, trusting relationships with students and communicating effectively with parents and the school community.

- A fully recognised teaching qualification that meets Dutch Education Authority (DUO) standards, qualifying you to teach your specific subject for students aged 11–16 across all relevant educational levels.
- At least 2 years secondary teaching experience in German.
- Applicants must already have the right to work in The Netherlands, independent of employment status (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
- A teaching qualification (ideally DUO-recognised) extending to the upper secondary levels (ages 11–18).
- Experience teaching IB MYP and DP/CP
- C2 level or native level proficiency in German, complemented by strong professional communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with international school settings and culturally diverse student populations.
