As a Junior Systems Engineer at NXP, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and validation of semiconductor-based systems and solutions. Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will support the definition of system requirements, interfaces, and specifications to ensure effective hardware and software integration. Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and documentation of system requirements, architectures, and technical specifications for semiconductor products and solutions.
- Assist in defining system interfaces, functional behavior, and input/output parameters for hardware and software components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze customer, business, and technical requirements and translate them into system-level solutions.
- Participate in system modeling, simulation, prototyping, integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Identify, analyze, and help resolve system design issues, performance challenges, and integration problems.
- Contribute to design reviews and technical discussions throughout the product development process.
- Support the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and engineering tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Work closely with hardware, software, applications, verification, and product engineering teams to ensure successful product implementation and delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, hardware/software interactions, and product development processes.
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems, semiconductor technologies, digital design, software development, or system modeling concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, academic project, research, or co-op experience related to systems engineering, embedded systems, hardware design, software development, or semiconductor technologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or MATLAB.
- Exposure to requirements management, modeling, simulation, verification, or validation methodologies.
- Knowledge of automotive, industrial, IoT, mobile, or edge processing technologies is a plus.
