The Team Lead Electrical & Avionics Engineering is responsible for overseeing and managing the team’s workflow, ensuring smooth operations and supporting employees with challenges and inquiries. They ensure that departmental guidelines, as defined by the Head of Engineering, are properly implemented and followed. In this role, the Team Lead Electrical & Avionics Engineering also coaches and mentors team members, conducting Performance Development meetings after approval from the Head of Engineering. Additionally, they advise the Head of Engineering on employment conditions and personnel matters while managing absenteeism within the team. Accurate time registration in our Time Registration System for all team members also falls under their scope. The Team Lead Electrical & Avionics Engineering supervises the quality and scope of results within the engineering disciplines and ensures optimal execution processes by guiding and coordinating team members effectively. They work closely with Lead Engineers, Project Managers, and Program Managers to distribute workloads and maintain oversight of capacity planning and resource allocation. Any critical issues are escalated to the Head of Engineering with proposed solutions in a timely manner.
Communication & Collaboration
Collaboration is essential in this role, as the Team Lead Electrical & Avionics Engineering works closely with colleagues across the organization to discuss engineering processes and best practices. They provide advice to the Head of Engineering regarding engineering activities and project progress while offering clear instructions and guidance to their team members. Additionally, they actively engage in discussions with management to propose and implement process improvements.
