You will join the New Products team within the Value Patient Access department. The team currently consists of two colleagues and will expand to three with this new position.
The New Products team plays a key role in preparing for the launch of innovative treatments, with the goal of ensuring broad and timely access for eligible patients. The team works closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to generate valuable insights, understand the evolving healthcare and access landscape, and support launch readiness. By combining scientific evidence with a strong focus on patient needs, the team helps improve access to new therapies and contributes to better outcomes for patients.
Purpose of the Role
As a New Products Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing the value of our pipeline by shaping early market, value, and patient access strategies for future products and indications. Acting as the key connector across Medical, Marketing, Patient Access, and other cross-functional teams, you will translate complex market insights into actionable strategies that support successful launches and broad patient access. With a strong strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, you will influence stakeholders, align diverse perspectives, and drive cross-functional execution to ensure our innovations reach patients while creating sustainable value for healthcare systems and our business.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of early market, patient access, and launch strategies for pipeline products and new indications.
- Assess and prioritize opportunities by evaluating patient need, access potential, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and strategic fit.
- Translate global strategies and insights into locally relevant plans, evidence requirements, and actions that support successful market access and launch readiness in the Netherlands.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, policy makers, reimbursement bodies, and other relevant partners, to strengthen insights and access preparedness.
- Monitor developments in therapeutic areas, treatment pathways, stakeholder expectations, and access environments, and translate these into strategic recommendations for products under scope.
- Coordinate forecasting assumptions, market research, planning deliverables, and governance processes, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across the pipeline portfolio.
- Drive integrated pre-launch planning and ensure effective transition from early development to launch execution, maintaining clear priorities, alignment, and cross-functional accountability.
- Represent the Dutch market within Regional and Global New Product teams by providing local insights, strategic recommendations, evidence considerations, and customer perspectives that support product development and launch success.
What we ask
- University degree (MD, pharmacist, life-sciences)
- At least 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrable experience in reimbursement strategies
- In-depth knowledge of the health system, reimbursement system, pricing principles, and marketing principles
- Fluency in Dutch and English
Preferred
- Experience in medical and marketing
