Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Higher vocational training in the area of computer science with 3 years post-related experience or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience;
- At least 3 years practical experience of working experience within a large organization, including the operation, administration, testing and maintenance of software for modern information systems in a networked and distributed environment;
- At least 3 years practical experience of working experience within a large organization, including knowledge of operating systems that are currently used for modern information systems.
Desirable:
- Experience with TOPFAS;
- Experience of software applications support and maintenance in the NATO or similar defence or civilian environment;
- Experience with server clustering, familiarity with PC hardware and networking techniques.
Duties/role:
- Monitoring operational instances for resource usage and failure rates to inform and facilitate tuning and improvements;
- Supporting monitoring and reporting of the operational status of assigned application services and responding to exceptions;
- Performing incident and problem management and supporting the change management process.
