Job Description: Field Application Engineer (FAE)
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) serves as a technical liaison between the company’s engineering teams and customers. This role involves providing technical support, product demonstrations, and ensuring successful product integration for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide first-level support for AVer products (installation, usage, troubleshooting) via email, phone, video, and remote access tools.
- RMA Management: Handle RMA/DOA requests, check products for defects, repair and return items, and update customers.
- Inventory: Maintain accurate records of spare parts and place weekly orders with HQ.
- Trade Show Support: Prepare, configure, and check units for trade shows, assisting with setup and teardown.
- Loan Management: Maintain and manage loan equipment, ensuring returns are checked and refurbished as needed.
Expectations:
- Provide reliable technical support to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams for product improvements.
- Resolve technical issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Adapt to evolving technologies within the industry.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of hardware/software integration.
- Experience with debugging tools and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in programming (C, C++, Python).
- Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with PCB design, cloud computing, IoT, or AI is a plus.
