Vacancy: Medior Planner
Location: Maastricht-Airport | Hours: 40 hours per week | Department: Control Tower Operations | Reports to: Operations Team Leader
About the role
As a Medior Planner, you are responsible for planning, monitoring and improving transport operations within e-llis - a 4PL control tower environment. You work independently, but still as part of the team, you maintain control and adjust accordingly when priorities shift, and take ownership of daily planning challenges from start to finish.
You act as the key link between customers, carriers and internal teams, making sure shipments are planned accurately, disruptions are resolved quickly, and the highest service levels are maintained consistently.
What you will do
· Plan, coordinate and adjust transport activities to meet agreed lead times, service levels and customer requirements.
· Independently monitor shipments, identify risks or delays, and take timely action to resolve operational issues.
· Act as a reliable point of contact for customers, carriers and internal stakeholders, communicating clearly and proactively.
· Work in line with customer-specific SOPs while using sound judgement to handle exceptions and changing priorities.
· Monitor operational performance and support reporting on key KPIs such as on-time delivery and load efficiency.
· Identify practical improvement opportunities and contribute to more efficient, cost-effective and reliable transport operations.
What you bring
· 3 to 5 years of experience in transport planning, logistics, supply chain or a similar operational planning role.
· MBO level qualification or equivalent experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain or business administration.
· Experience in a 4PL, control tower, logistics service provider or international supply chain environment is a strong advantage.
· Good understanding of transport planning, shipment follow-up, carrier coordination and customer service.
· Experience with a Transport Management System and strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook.
· Excellent written and verbal English. Other languages are a plus
